We cordially invite interested students from all universities to take part in the UNiG MUN of the UNi-Gruppe taking place from the Janurary 15th to 17th 2010. The Security Council, the primary body mandated with maintaining peace and security, will be concerned with the pressing issue of North Korea. North Korea's uranium richement programm and its nuclear weapon tests have caused anxiety in the whole region. Many countries fear a new rising of the tension between North and South Korea destroying all previous achievements concerning the preace process. In order to secure this region, a peaceful settlement of this conflict must be achieved.
We are looking for about 40 motivated delegates to represent the member states of the Security Council, regional actors, and NGOs. The 20 delegations will be represented by two to three MUN student diplomats each. A list of the participating states and non-state actors is included in the application form.

We at the UNi-Gruppe will try our best to provide you with your preferred country. For documents and catering the fee will be 30 EUR. The conference language is English.

Additionally, there will be a mandatory Preparatory Meeting on 15th of Janurary, 2010 with an introduction into the session. The MUN itself will take place from the 16th to 17th of Janurary, 2010.
